ON
July 11, 154 golfers teed off at Bass
Lake Golf Course for a great cause.
The sixth annual Community Health
Foundation Spirits at the Lake event was
another resounding success thanks to
the generosity of sponsors and attendees.
Following the golf event, golfers and
over 400 community members enjoyed
three live bands, wood-fired pizzas and
a Mexican buffet, and a magnificent
silent auction. Vendors from around
the state provided samplings of craft
microbrews, wine and specialty
cocktails under a beautifully decorated
white tent. This year the event netted
over $60,000.
As a result of the Spirits at the Lake
event and the generosity of those who
attended, the Community Health
Foundation will be able to award
grants to provide financial support
locally and to Langlade Hospital
to advance health, wellness and
awareness in our community. The
Community Health Foundation
granted $130,000 throughout our
community over the past year.
Programs that were funded
last year include Camp American
Legion, Antigo Swim Club, Hope
Pregnancy Center, Antigo Food
Pantry, Center Court Club and
Healthy
Kids
Bright
Kids
.
A heartfelt thank-you
to all the wonderful
volunteers, sponsors
and donors and
countless others who
helped along the way.
